  1. Question#4/ English, French, and Spanish colonies are all similar in alot of ways ,they also have differences. All 3 colonise came to North America, Spanish being the first,French having the fewest amount of settlements. Many of these colonies governed themselves, but all were under the brittish crown. Both English and French brought there famileys, religions, languages, and traditions with them, on the other hand Spanish brought no familey. This caused so many spanish to marry Native women, therefor many native turned catholic and created the Mestizo populations. In ways they were similar they were different Spanish being the only settlement to have a (Caste System-the rigid system of hereditary social distinctions based on caste). While the english settlement being made up of protestants and many of them having different religions views of the church of England. All 3 Colonies were similar yet slightly different thats what made and make them so important to history , our differences are the main keys to makeing each indivisual or group them.

    2. Question#4 All of the various colonies had social, economic, and political roles that were filled. Social roles such as the indians teaching there survival skills to the women cleaning homes, bearing kids, and farming. Men in colonies could do things that the women couldnt such as own property and vote. Economic roles involved making money off tobbaco which was alot. All of these roles help in the creation and evolution of various colonies.

    3. I like that you pointed out all of the roles of the Native Americans. One thing that was brought to my attention is when you said that the someone (whom I am assuming is Native Americans) benefited from selling tobacco. I'm pretty sure they didn't make any money or even traded it with each other or any other colonies.Other than that you answered the question perfectly.

  2. 3) In all of the various colonies, there were roles for people in social, economical, and political situations. In the English colonies, the women held social roles, such as house keepers, family makers, and helped farm and raise the livestock. The men had more political and economical roles. Men where the only ones who could really vote or own property. Men also took over their wives property or anything their wives were to inherit. In Spanish colonies, seeing as the men were most likely the only ones to come to the new world, the men had all or at least most the roles in the colonies or settlements.

    4) The French, Spanish, and English colonies in North America had their similarities and their differences. The English, French, and Spanish all have emigrated to North America for specific reasons. They also have had some form of contact or relationship with the Native Americans. The Spanish were different from the French and English settlers because their main focus was not to colonize but to conquer and Christianize the inhabitants of the New World. The French were different from the Spanish and English settlers because they had the most positive relationship with the Native Americans. The English were different because they wanted to colonize in order to freely practice their own religion, Christianize the inhabitants of the New World, AND to make a living off of the crops in the New World.

  3. Question #4 answer:

The English, French, and Spanish colonies are alike because they all three decided to colonize in North America. They all created what I like to call an empire. Similar to a mini city. The different colonies mingled with the Native Americans. They were different because they all had different religions. They did things a little different and had their own ways. That's what made history and made them different.

  4. I feel that social, economic, and political dissent had a lot of effects on the evolution of the colonies. For example, the early colonist from England tried to make the most the of there first settlement which was roanoke. See roanoke was the main example to show for as of evaluation of the colonies because right after the first unsuccessful settlement , learned where would be the right places to settle.

  5. Question 3: The New World's role in social, economic and political crested the beginning of freedom. The early settlers used Native Americans for there gain. The Indians had the resources to kill the settlers but they didn't. The Indians choose to share the knowledge of hunting, farming and fishing. With the land being of great quality the tobacco was a great economic boost. Also,in all the colonies the women were the housekeepers and the men were the bread winners. The political outlook is the Chief of the Indians are the one that make all the decisions. Question 4: All three colonies have similarities and differences with labor, economy and treatment of the Native Americans. The labor in all the colonies started with work of the Indians low skill workers, poor people and slaves. The English colony economy was rich off tobacco and other growing products. The Spanish economy was rich in minerals. Silver was the prime source of the Spanish economy. The French was considered lazy. The French were trying to live off the other colonies.

  6. Question 3:The social, economic, and political dissent had a lot of effects on the evolution of the colonies. The Native Americans, who were the Indians knew a lot of things about surviving. The Indians shared mostly everything they knew instead of keeping it to there self. In my opinion they were ery kind indiviuals.

Question 4: The English, French, and Spanish who were in North America were alike because they all came over here to North Amercia. Each one had their own set of reason why they came. They were not alike because the French had a good relationship with the french unlike the Spanish. The English really just wanted to spread their religion in the New World.

  7. QUESTION 4: The English, French and Spanish were the same because they both were willing to venture to the NEW WORLD, for the wealth, fame, and then good life(land). They were also different because the English were the first to make the move, and in doing the English colonies developed different way because they were allowed more freedom but on the other hand France and Spain to abide by their ruler. The French and Spanish couldn’t set up a government, they had to obey their king rules. The economic differences between the two were diverse. The English had a different economy themselves including farming, fishing, and trading. They also had exports including tobacco, rice, timber, and fish. The French set up a fur trade and plantations in the Mississippi valley, which later failed. And for the Spanish, they set up a trading economy which was controlled by the Spanish board of trade and enforced by the Spanish military.

  9. Question 4
The English, French, and Spanish where alike simply because they all had a trading relationship with different countries, they came to the new world, and they brought new customs along with them. They where different because unlike Spanish and French, English didn’t have to obey there king, English traveled to the new world for freedom. French empire was ruled by Francis I, the French came to the new world seeking a route to the Pacific Ocean and wealth, they developed had fur traders and plantations. Spanish empire was ruled by queen Isabella and king Ferdinand II, contrasting from French and English The Spanish came to conquer the New World, there empire expanded across Caribbean, Mexico, Peru, southwestern parts of the United States and many more, and they had a trade economy that was controlled by the Spanish board. The Spanish empire's first successful settlement was St. Augustine in 1565

  10. Question 3)

There was various coloines that came to the New World as the Engish,French and Spanish. The English colonies(polictial views) experienced much inde-pendence from Britain during their early years. Officials were annually elected by white, free men who were church members and had sought salvation.Local government town meetings where all white male Church members who owned property gathered regularly to consensually decide matters of local importance. Small, family-run farms and small household manufacturing endeavors comprised the majority of economic enterprise. Almost every adult male owned land. The farm economy was rigidly controlled by division of labor within the family: men responsible for field work; women responsible for housework, gardening, dairy, hen house, etc. The reliance upon family farming meant little need for servants or slaves. The English clustered settlements which encouraged the growth of strong vital communities and a rigorous sense of local order. While the French goverment was a diverse settlement. The population was culturally, linguistically, and spiritually diverse. The Dutch had created a strong commercial economy, fueled by small farmers, craftsmen, and merchants. The Spainsh Corporate, royal, and proprietary.the social colonists consisted of free men and women; the majority consisted of laborers: indentured servants. So to this conclusion, the social, enconomic and social were different and similar at the same time.

    Question 4).

The English,French, and Spanish colonies differ and are similar in the same way. The English were the first of them to make that venture. In doing so the English colonies developed differently because they were allowed more freedom but on the other hand France and Spain had to obey their ruler. The English set up local governments and representative assemblies. The French set up a fur trade and plantations in the Mississippi valley, which later failed. And for the Spanish, they set up a trading economy which was controlled by the Spanish board of trade and enforced by the Spanish military.Unlike France and Spain, England wanted other immigrants from other nations to come to increase their population.

  11. 3.) The New World's social, economic, and political role played a big big role in the up-bringing of the New World. They were similar socially because of the trading process, getting back and forth from the Old And New World. Economically, they were similar because of the crops that were produced and used in the Columbian Exchange. As for politics the men were the only people aloud to vote and that moment of time. But, they did have their differences the French and Spanish stayed under the command of the King, while English fled to the New World hoping to practice their religion freely. The French came to search the colonies for gold and other valuables. As the Spain they were they were they first to start off the trades

  12. Question #3: The social dissent of the evolution had many effects on many events that happened throughout the colonization period. Europeans began to look down on other races like Africans and Native Americans which affected their cruel treatment of them. The economic dissent was mainly rooted from greed which induced their drive to increase trade and find valuable resources like gold. The political dissent of Europeans was wavered from their usual patriotic manner towards their King to a new realization of his unfair ways when they realized that they were going to be taxed with no representation.

Question #4: The similarity between all of these colonies was that they were all driven by greed. They wanted to gain wealth from the resources in the new land. What differentiates them is the way they approached the situation. The French took a much nicer approach at the beginning with the Native Americans, promising them their re-ownership of their land. The Spanish on the other hand killed them off with diseases and the British through naval forces. It is true that they all said they were their to spread religion but all of them wanted gold. The Spanish claim to want to spread Catholicism and the English : Christianity.

  13. #3) Social, economic, and political role played a huge role in the New World. The women did the social role in the English colonies. They did all the house work, helped farm and raise the livestock. The men of the English colonies did all the political role playing because they were the only one to own property and to vote, they also took over their wife's property basically they ran everything.

#4) The English, French, and Spanish had all migrated to North America for certain reasons. The Spanish was different from the other two because their main purpose was to conquer and christianize the New World not colonized. The French was good because they were cool with the Native Americans. Now the English didn't care what religion you were and wanted you to live off your livestock.
