  1. November of 1762, Britain and France also including Spain, worked on a peace agreement which was the Treaty of Paris. As part of the agreement, the French gave up all of Canada to Britain and regained all possession of territory east of the Mississippi River except New Orleans. Also British subjects were guaranteed navigation rights over the length of the river. In the south, the British maintained possession of St. Vincent, Dominica, Tobago, and Grenada, but returned Guadeloupe and Martinique to France. Spain lost badly on the battlefield and in negotiations. Forced to give up all their gains in Portugal, they were locked out of the Grand Banks fisheries. They also were forced to trade all of Florida to Britain for the return of Havana and the Philippines. This gave Britain control of the North American coast from Newfoundland to New Orleans.
The New England colonies began trading for sugar from French islands to distill it into rum to trade for money in the Caribbean to distill it into rum to trade for slaves from the west coast of Africa, which was illegal under the navigation acts but unenforced. When the French and Indian War came about, the colonies had little to no money to fund Great Britain in the war. At the end of the war, England was bankrupt. The British blamed the colonies for prolonging the war by continuing to trade sugar with the French island which was now the most lucrative business in the colonies. Tensions grew until the break of the battle of Lexington and Concord.

The French and Indian War was fought between the french and Great Britain with the help of the colonist and the Indians. 5. 1) The French and Indian War and its aftermath had a great affect on the relationship between Great Britain and the British colonies. Starting in 1754, the British colonies had at first stayed out of the war. Eventually the colonists joined Great Britain in the war and were promised that if they won, the colonies would receive the land won in the war. At the end of the war, Great Britain won but they never fulfilled their promise. In fact, Great Britain not only reneged their promise but forbid the British colonists from settling in the land from the Appalachian Mountains to the Mississippi River after promising them that same land. This was done in Proclamation of 1763. Also due to the cost of the French and Indian War, Great Britain began to take advantage of the colonies in order to make money off of them. This caused the British colonies to become more and more irritated with Great Britain. Then there were the taxation to help pay for the war. These taxes were one of the biggest economic reasons for the colonies growing disdain for Great Britain.

    2) Economic issues was one of the main things that provoked the American Revolution. Before the American Revolution and after the French and Indian War, the colonies were overpopulated and were beginning to see a decrease in resources. They needed more land. Great Britain had promised the land they needed but never followed through with their promise. This was strike one on the economic causes to the American Revolution. Then the British took control of the colonies trade system and began ripping them by taking their materials and selling them the product of these material.
The colonies were also restricted from trading with other countries. This was strike number two. Finally, Great Britain began taxing the colonies. Now Great Britain already had control of their trade, were ripping them off with their own materials. Then they are going to tax the colonies and force acts on them without representing them in their government? This was the final strike. This economical issue was the last straw and the final thing that lead to the American Revolution.

  6. 1.)The French and Indian War changed the relationship between the English and the colonists because the damages left from the war caused Britain to heavily tax the colonies, which caused tension. The French and Indian War, brought many positive and negatives to the political, economic, and ideological relations between the British and the colonists. Britain's victory in the French and Indian War gave Britain much power and it became the dominant force in the North Americas but because of war debts, the colonist's loyalty to the British was deeply shaken. Also, the British changed and enforced their new policies of mercantile. Which led to intensified animosity between the English and their colonies.

2.)The American revolution was almost entirely economic. Firstly you have the years of salutary neglect where England let the colonies govern themselves. During this period, the colonists developed capitalism which went against the British principle of mercantile. The New England colonies began trading for sugar from French islands to distill it into rum to trade for in the Caribbean to distill it into rum to trade for slaves from the west coast of Africa, which was illegal under the navigation acts but unenforced. The French and Indian war came and the colonies contributed little money and troops to the war. At the end of the war, England was bankrupt. The British blamed the colonies for prolonging the war by continuing to trade sugar with the French island which was now the most lucrative business in the colonies. The British put in place acts including the sugar act which attempted to stop the trade of sugar. They were also trying to enforce the navigation acts. This destroyed New England's economy and sent them into a depression. The sugar act was eventually repealed but the navigation act was still enforced blocking New England's economy. Then there was the the Townshend acts which taxed almost all goods. It was repealed with the exception of tea. Tea was shipped to all the harbors and denied. In Boston, Samuel Adams took the tea and dumped it in Boston harbor. Boston was ordered to pay back the East India Company for the loss of the tea and until they did, the intolerable acts were put on them. The acts included the closing of Boston's port, their main economy, and adding four British regiments to Boston.Tensions grew until the break of the battle of Lexington and Concord.

  7. 1. The French and Indian War caused a great deal of pressure between Great Britain and the British colonies. After the war there were major damages that caused the British to tax the colonies heavily. As a result the colonies began to revolt against Great Britain. They wanted their independence and freedom from the British because of the the high taxation and the use of the mercantilism polices which caused tension.
    2. Although there were other causes of the American Revolution economic issues was the main cause. There were many harsh law that were passed that took control of the colonies. While British took over the colonies lost a lot of money. With mercantilism Britain was able to get the colonies crops like sugar, tobacco, and rice for very low prices. Selling crops for very low they couldn't even sell to other countries. While all the laws and acts passed the colonies lost and didn't make a lot of money that was a main cause of the American Revolution.

  11. #1 The French and Indian(7 Years War) lasted between 1756-1763.It began when France began expanding pass the Ohio River, which conflicted with British claims. It was a imperial struggle over land and wealth between Britain and France. The French and Indian war is the aftermath of tensions between British and French colonies, each side wanted to increase their territory. After delaying for a year and half the British and French officially declared war in May 1956. For three years outnumbered french prevailed in Ticonderoga and Fort Oswego. The glorious french victory at Fort William Henry ultimately lead to the the British massacre where the Indians sided with the French. The British luck changed in 1958 when they made certain Indian allies. Influence under William Pitt helped war strategies to fit American landscapes. Another stroke of luck happened when Indian allies abandoned the French. After being overpowered by the British the French collapsed in 1958-1959. By September 1760 British owned all of the North American frontier and the war was officially over.
The war seemed to strengthen England's hold on the colonies, the effects of the French and Indian War played a major role in the worsening relationship between England and its colonies that eventually led into the Revolutionary War.The French and Indian war altered the political, economical, ideological relations between Britain and American colonies by implementing a lot of open opportunities and setbacks. After the war the British were in debt and need money so they began to unfairly tax the colonists. The colonists began to boycott which eventually led to the American Revolution.
#2 Only the southern colonies were bound to England by the tobacco trade and the New England and Middle Colonies, unable to find markets in Britain. Any attempt to stop this trade would lead to rebellion and consequentially ensued. This was a restriction upon economic prosperity of the New England colony. England had put lots of pressure on the colonies and the colonists believed that the King was violating their inherited rights.
The main act of provocation to the colonists was the stamp act. The stamp act was protested upon the principle of no taxation without representation. The stamp act was affecting virtually all the colonists, and restricted economic prosperity, thus colonists protested it. The Townshend acts were also a factor in the economy.
